Nice blog and site
Hey, Jonah, nice place ya got here! I used to be a 911 call receiver (for King County, not Seattle), and when I left that job I swore I had no interest in following local police news. I was DONE.
But a few years ago, I got a handheld radio scanner for listening to the marine, air, and railroad channels, and it came pre-programmed with some of the King County trunked system talkgroups, including SPD. One thing led to another and...what do you know...at this point I listen to the scanner most of the time if I happen to be driving around town. I've learned a lot about SPD radio protocols, but once in a while I'm still stumped by something I hear.
Anyway, it's nice to know there's a place to share information about local crime and law enforcement. Thanks!

Hi,
Looking for more info about an assault at Skyway Park on Nov 2. Can't find any more information about the incident since this was posted, day-of: http://www.kirotv.com/news/21500971/detail.html
Has any add'l info been release? Was it indeed an attack or a shooting? Was it gang-related? Is the victim okay? Do the police have a suspect yet?

Great site!
Do you have the option to change the symbols on the real-time Google map; instead of colors/circles only? Maybe a red cross in white circle for medical and as you zoom out only the most recent/serious events are displayed so as to not dog-pile other events?
Maybe Google doesn't give you many choices - I do like the concentric flashing ring around events.
Again, very cool.
