The Morning Blotter

Carving Turkey: At about 8:15 PM on Thanksgiving, an officer driving south on Aurora spotted a 49-year-old man walking down the street carrying two fixed-blade knives in his hands. According to police, the man began angrily yelling at people on the street, and started throwing his knives at telephone poles and people on the sidewalk. Police approached the man near the Fremont Fellowship building on 90th and Aurora as he began throwing knives at buildings and bystanders. An officer drew his gun and ordered the man to drop his knives. Officers recovered 2 knives—one with a five inch blade, and another with a four-and-a-quarter inch blade—from the man. He was booked into the King County Jail for reckless endangerment and unlawful weapons.
