Man Threatens Metro Riders, Gets Charged With Hate Crime

King County prosecutors have charged a Magnolia man with malicious harassment, Washington’s hate crime statute, for allegedly threatening passengers on a Metro bus in Ballard.

According to police statements regarding the Jan. 27 incident, David A. Moore approached the passengers and repeatedly asked them to move. As the trip continued, Moore allegedly threatened each of them.

“I don’t like white people,” Moore allegedly said. “I kill white people. … And I am going to kill you.”

Moore then allegedly followed several passengers off the bus and photographed one of them.
