Police say a South Seattle middle school student was attacked and threatened with a knife in a gang-related incident last Friday.
The boy was walking through the Safeway parking lot at Martin Luther King Jr Way and Othello at about 9:30 a.m. when a group of three teens confronted him and asked what gang he was in. The boy tried to walk away from the group who, the report says, demanded he “stop disrespecting them.”
The group of teens—who the police report indicates were part of a “street gang”—circled the boy and attacked him. During the fight, one of the teens pulled out a knife, the report says.
The boy was able to get free and ran to Aki Kurose Middle School. He told police he was not injured in the incident.
