Police are investigating a violent robbery at an Aurora motel after several masked men burst into another man’s room, beat him, and stole several thousand dollars in cash last week.
A police report says at about 1:30 a.m. on February 22nd, a white female in her 20s knocked on the victim’s motel room door. When the victim answered the door, two black males—both in their 30s and at least one was wearing a mask—forced their way into the room, put a gun in the victim’s face, and demanded money.
The robbers forced the man out into the parking lot, pistol-whipped him, and stole $2,000 in cash, a cell phone, a laptop, and the victim’s wallet. The victim told police the two robbers and the woman then fled the scene, possibly in a dark-colored van.
According to the report, this wasn’t the first time the woman had been in the victim’s room that evening. However, the report says, the victim “did not tell [police] why he contacted her earlier in the night or why she came to his room later in the evening.” (Speculate away, folks!)
Police searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate any of them.
