Two Seattle police officers were taken to Harborview this afternoon after they were attacked by a 14-year-old boy at a mental health facility in Queen Anne.
At about 4:15 pm, medics were called to the Seattle Children’s Home on 10th and W McGraw to treat a 14-year-old boy who was injured in a fight at the facility.
When medics arrived, they immediately called police for assistance.
According to a source, when officers arrived the 14-year-old attacked them, biting one officer on the leg and kicking the other in the testicles.
The two officers were taken to Harborview and the boy was transported to Children’s Hospital where he is being kept under guard.
According to Seattle Police Department spokeswoman Renee Witt, the officers were not seriously injured in the incident.
