A group of masked men forced their way into a South Seattle apartment and robbed a man at gunpoint last week, a police report says.
According to the report, at about 2:00pm on March 16th, a group of three Asian males in their 20’s—wearing black clothing, masks, and rubber gloves—rang the doorbell of an apartment near 40th Ave S and S Holden St and forced their way inside.
One of the masked men pulled out a handgun and began yelling at the family in Vietnamese. The gunman jammed his pistol into the back of the head of one resident and told him “Cooperate and you won’t be killed.”
One of the robbers took the man’s wallet and then forced the man into a bathroom, where the man began shouting “911!”
Several other family members in the home also saw the robbers—including one woman who was in her room with her infant child—and called 911.
The robbers fled and police were unable to find them.
The family told police they have no idea why the men had targeted them in the robbery.
