Man Slashed, Robbed for $2 Near Capitol Hill

Seattle police are looking for a female robbery suspect who flagged down and then attacked a motorist near Capitol Hill early this morning.

According to police spokesman Mark Jamieson, the woman flagged down a man driving near Lakeview Blvd and E Howe Street around 3:30 this morning and asked for a ride to the Central District. When the man said no, the woman—described by police as a black female, 35-year-old, 5’7 with long black hair, wearing a white sweater, white pants, and carrying a big brown bag—grabbed his cellphone and two dollars that was sitting on the seat of his car and tried to walk away.

When the man tried to grab the woman and get his stuff back, police say she slapped him and walked off. The man then felt blood running down his face and realized he’s been slashed.

The man called police and medics, who treated the man for a 4-inch gash on his face.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the woman.
