A Franklin High School was assaulted by a group of men in South Seattle last week following a dance event at a middle school, a police report says.
According to the report, the teen was walking home from “a break dance club event at Aki Kurose Middle School” on April 6th when three men in a gray car approached him near the playfield behind the school.
The group of men attacked the teen, striking him in the head and knocking him to the ground. The men then fled.
When police interviewed the teen about the incident, he told officers he believed he’d been attacked because his assailants “don’t like guys with glasses.”
The teen was unable to provide police with any other details about the suspects, other than the fact that one was Asian, one was black, and one was white.
The report says the teen was not robbed during the incident and officers believe the boy “was not telling the entire story.”
