Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect In South Seattle

Seattle police arrested a 31-year-old man in South Seattle last night after he allegedly slashed another man and stabbed him in the back following an argument.

Police were called to an apartment building in the 5900 block of 37th Ave S shortly after 9:00pm.

Officers found the victim sitting in a chair in the apartment, covered in blood and holding a bag of ice over his right eye.

Medics were called to the scene and treated the man for a puncture wound to the back of his left shoulder, and a 3-inch cut over his eye before transpsorting him to Harborview.

The victim told police he’d been sitting on his couch with an acquaintance when the two men got into an argument and the suspect picked up a knife and attacked him.

The victim didn’t know the suspect’s real name, but gave police a description of him, and officers were able to find the man near the scene.

He was booked into the King County Jail for assault.
