Aggressive Anti-Panhandling In Pinehurst

Pinehurst doesn’t take kindly to panhandlers.

Around 8:00pm on May 25th, a man walked up to a black Ford Explorer parked in a lot at 123rd and 15th Ave NE and asked the passengers if they had any spare change.

A police report says the driver pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim and said “don’t be asking me for change.”

The Explorer then sped away, but the victim was able to get the vehicle’s plate and reported the incident to police.

Police matched the plate with a mug shot of a man associated with the vehicle and were able to identify a suspect, but police weren’t able to find him at his home.
