Police Arrest Four Suspected Stun Gun Robbers

Seattle police have arrested a 16-year-old girl, a 22-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old woman suspected of using a stun gun to rob five different women in North Seattle over the last few weeks.

SPD spokesman Sean Whitcomb says police believe the suspects were involved in five robberies: in the 42nd Ave and Phinney Ave N on May 17th, 93rd and 22nd Ave NW on May 19th, the 700 block of N 102nd St on May 20th, 112th and Lakeside Ave NE on May 22nd, and 4th and NE 85th on May 24th.

Charges for the young man and woman could be coming later today. According to court records, the 22-year-old man has a long rap sheet, including previous convictions for burglary, eluding police, trespassing, car prowling, possession of stolen property, theft, forgery, malicious mischief, and multiple counts of auto theft.

Police are still looking for two suspects in the case.

Since May 17th, Seattle Police Robbery detectives have been busy investigating a series of robberies in North Seattle.  All the victims were elderly females and most were attacked when loading or unloading items from their vehicles.  The robbers were apparently armed with a “stun gun”.  The suspects fled the scene of the crime in stolen vehicles. 

Both vehicles used during the commission of the robberies have since been recovered and processed by detectives.  Information developed during the course of the on-going investigation led to the identity of the suspects.

During the afternoon hours of May 28th, Robbery detectives arrested a 17-year-old female suspect and a 22-year-old male suspect in the 13400 block of Greenwood Avenue N.  This morning, a third suspect was arrested in the 13700 32 Avenue NE.  That individual is a 21-year-old female and she is currently being questioned a police headquarters.  A fourth suspect, a 25-year-old female was just arrested in Burien and is being transported to headquarters at this moment.

The robberies occurred as follows:

May 17 at 1:45 p.m. in the 4200 block of Phinney Avenue N.

May 19 at 12:54 p.m. in the 9300 block of 22 Avenue NW.

May 20 at 12:07 p.m. in the 700 block of N 102 Street.

May 22 at 6:08 p.m. in the 11200 block of Lakeside Avenue NE

May 24 at 2:20 p.m. in the 400 block of NE 85th Street.
