Police Say Man Sexually Assaulted Two Women After Meeting Them At Capitol Hill Club

Seattle police are investigating two women’s claim that a 23-year-old man sexually assaulted them at knifepoint hours after they met the man at a Capitol Hill nightclub this weekend.

Police documents say the two women met the man on Friday night at the Cha-Cha Lounge on 10th and Pike. The man asked if the women if he could “couch surf,” and was invited back to one woman’s apartment.

At the home, police records say the man attacked and sexually assaulted both women.

The women went to Harborview following the incident and called police.

Officers were able to locate a photo of the man—who has previously been booked into the King County Jail on theft charges—and, on June 13th, found the man as he exiting his apartment on East Republican and Summit Ave E.

The man ran from police, but officers were able to take him into custody near the Capitol Hill library a few blocks away.

Police records say the man had outstanding warrants with the King County Sheriff’s office and and Seattle municipal court. Seattle police also say the man may be a suspect in a previous sexual assault.

The man, who has not yet been charged in either sexual assault, is being held in the King County Jail on $100,000 bail. Charges could be filed later this week.
