Another weekend, another shooting in Belltown.
From the SPD Blotter:
On 6/20/10, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired with a victim down in the 500 block of Wall Street. When officers arrived they found an adult male victim lying on the ground in front of the building. The victim and friends had been at club in the 300 block of 1 Ave N. When they left the club, they noticed a white Camaro following them. The victim and friends were standing out in front of the building when the white Camaro drove by and someone from the car fired several shots.
A witness called 911 and provided a good vehicle description. An officer waited by the Howell Street on ramp to I-5 when he saw the suspect vehicle and began to follow it. The suspect vehicle drove SB on I-5 and went onto the collector/distributor lanes. The suspect vehicle was eventually stopped near South Dearborn Street. The two occupants were taken into custody without incident. Two witnesses from the scene were transported and positively identified the suspect vehicle. Officers back tracked the route of the suspect vehicle and located the suspect pistol on the roadway.
The suspects were transported to the West Precinct for processing and subsequently booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
