Seattle police have arrested one man in connection with a shooting outside of a South Seattle motorcycle club earlier this month.
Shortly before 3:00am on September 4th, police were called to the Drama Boyz Motorcycle Club near Martin Luther King Jr Way and S Henderson for a report of a shooting.
Police say a man showed up to the club and refused to let doormen pat him down. Words were exchanged and the suspect allegedly opened fire on security staff.
The two doormen were later taken to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries and gang detectives were called out to investigate the shooting.
Last night, detectives arrested the 24-year-old suspect in the shooting in the 5000 block of Wilson Avenue in the Seward Park neighborhood. Police also recovered suspected cocaine during the arrest.
The man appears to have several prior drug charges on his record and, according to sources, is “gang-involved” and has ties to the Central District.
We’ll have more info on the arrest later today.
