Clemmons Accomplice Gets Five Years

A Pierce County judge Thursday sentenced a woman who admitted helping Maurice Clemmons in the hours after he killed four Lakewood police officers to the maximum sentence: five years in state prison.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Arend said it was the only appropriate sentence for Quiana M. Williams, who pleaded guilty as charged minutes before to five counts of first-degree rendering criminal assistance.

“Without her assistance, perhaps he could have been apprehended in a very short period of time and saved these families and the community a great deal of terror,” Arend said.
