Teen Charged for Break-In At McGinn Chief of Staff’s Home Arrested Again for Burglary

A 16-year-old boy charged with burglarizing the home of Mayor Mike McGinn’s chief of staff, Julie McCoy, in May was arrested by Snohomish County police early this morning following a break-in in Mukilteo, sources tell Seattlecrime.com.

Mukilteo police received a report of a burglary at about 1:45 this morning and immediately began searching for four suspects, who left the scene in a white van.

Police stopped the van near Boeing’s Everett facility and arrested three adult men and the teen, who also had a warrant out for his arrest.

Since March, the teen has been charged with four separate counts of burglary, four counts of auto theft, and one count of car prowling, and trafficking in stolen property. He has not, however, spent much time in lockup.
