A King County jail inmate has died from injuries sustained in an apparent suicide, according to a statement released Wednesday.
Ryan Robertson, a 33-year-old Seattle resident, is the third King County inmate to die by suicide in recent weeks. Inmate Christopher Goldner died Aug. 16; inmate Arnold Sharkey died Sept. 13.
According to a statement from the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention, Robertson was found hanging in his cell at 12:48 a.m. on Sept. 20. Medics arrived eight minutes later and rushed Robertson to Harborview Medical Center, where Robertson died Tuesday evening.
Robertson had been booked into the county jail at Seattle two days before the hanging. He was suspected of robbery.
