A 17-year-old girl punched in the face by a Seattle police officer during a jaywalking stop has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges.
After entering the guilty plea Wednesday, the teen was sentenced to 80 hours of community service and one year of probation. She pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of fourth-degree assault – unwanted touching – after initially being charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.
