Anti-Crime Team Officers Injured In Downtown Narcotics Sting

Two members of the West Precinct Anti-Crime Team (ACT) were injured in an undercover narcotics sting in Downtown Seattle this evening, according to department sources.

Around 8:30pm, the ACT team was conducting a buy-bust narcotics operation near 2nd and Pike when two officers became involved in an altercation with several suspects.

Two officers were injured—one officer apparently sustained a nasty four-inch bone-deep head wound—and were taken to Harborview. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police arrested three suspects at the scene.

More on this tomorrow.
