The Weekend Blotter

Here are a few updates on police activity over the weekend from the SPD Blotter. We’ll be back in action later tonight or tomorrow when we get back from vacation.

3rd and University

On October 30th at approximately 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a 911 report of two males fighting with a weapon involved at 3rd Avenue and University Street.  Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim and suspect were involved in a fist fight.  The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim at least twice in the chest area.  The suspect then fled the scene. 

Responding officers apprehended the suspect a short distance away. 

SFD medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 49-year-old male, was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.

4th and Pine

On October 30th at approximately 10:31 p.m. officers responded to an armed robbery in the bus tunnel in the 400 block of Pine Street.  The suspect was gone upon the officers’ arrival. 

Investigation indicates that the victim was in the Westlake bus tunnel when the suspect approached him and put a small handgun against his stomach and demanded all his property.  The suspect took the victim’s i-phone and fled.

An area check for the suspect was negative.  The suspect remains at large.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.
