Would it shock you if I told you police are investigating another shooting near Rainier and Henderson?
Police records indicate one man was shot in the leg after a confrontation with two masked men on Rainier, between Henderson and Director St, on Monday.
Just before 1:00am on November 1st, police found the man, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh.
Medics told police a bullet was likely lodged in the man’s leg, and transported him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several witnesses at the scene told police two men wearing neoprene ski masks had gotten into a confrontation with the victim—as well as several of the witnesses—before one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired five to seven shots.
The witnesses then chased the suspects down Rainier, but apparently lost sight of them after they fled through a library parking lot.
The victim told police “he just moved here from and does not know anyone from this area” and believes the shooting “was random.”
The victim said he “has no gang affiliations and has no idea who the suspects could be.”
A K9 unit was called in, but was unable to locate the suspects.
Police recovered five .22 shell casings at the scene.
