Man Charged For Trying to Rob Coffee Shop At Dickpoint

An 18-year-old Tukwila man is facing charges for robbery and indecent exposure after he pulled a gun on a coffee shop employee and flashed a dildo while at several other businesses.

According to police records, Eric Ross walked into a coffee shop in the 9400 block of Delridge Way SW on November 1st, asked an employee “if this was a coffee store” and then asked to make a phone call, even though Ross was already carrying an iPhone.

The employee behind the counter then saw Ross unzip his pants and begin masturbating. Police records say Ross then a black handgun from his pants, pointed it at the victim and demanded money.

The victim ran out of the store and Ross then went to a nearby taco shop and asked if he could use the bathroom, and again exposed himself to en employee. Ross allegedly “indicated that he had taken Viagra and could not get his erection to stop” as he pointed to a “bulge in his groin area.”

Ross then left the taco shop and went to a nearby coffee stand, where he was captured on tape by a security camera.

Police reviewed the security tape and identified Ross and asked him to come to the Southwest Precinct.

Ross admitted to officers that “he had exposed a dildo he had in his pants, not his actual penis” but denied attempting to rob anyone.

Ross allowed detectives to search his home “where a dildo was recovered from his bedroom,” police records say. It appears no gun was recovered.

Police booked Ross into the King County Jail, where he’s currently being held.
