Wallingford Shooting Was Accidental

A police department source tells us a shooting at a Wallingford business last night was accidental.

Our source tells us an employee at a restaurant on 4th and NE 45th accidentally fired a gun through the wall of an adjacent tattoo shop, narrowly missing a woman who was sitting on the other side of the wall.

No one was injured in the incident, but the shot apparently blew a sizeable hole in the drywall between the two businesses.

We’re told the gunman then fled the scene following the shooting, and ditched the weapon in Lake Union.

Police talked to witnesses and pieced together the details of the bizarre incident, and apparently gave the man a stern lecture, but did not make an arrest.
