The Morning Blotter: Brass Knuckles, Russians, And Beer

Three Russian men armed with brass knuckles and a bad attitudes beat a man up and took his beer near Pike Place last week, according to a police report.

Around 1:45am on December 18th, a man was sitting in his car in a parking lot at 1st and Pike when three men black jackets walked up to him. The three suspects—who were “of Russian descent based on their accents,” according to the report—asked the man if he had any beer.

When the man said no, one of the suspects said “yes you do” and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles.

The man tried to walk away from the suspects, but one of the suspects told him “you’re not going anywhere” and pushed him against his car.

The suspect wearing brass knuckles then punched the victim in the face.

The man was able to flee into a nearby club, and when he later returned to his car to meet police he found that someone had smashed the back window of his vehicle.

Police weren’t able to find the suspects.
