Pedestrian Injured In Hit and Run In South Seattle

From the SPD Blotter:

On January 1st at approximately 1:43 AM, witnesses reported to police that a pedestrian was attempting to cross the crosswalk at South Holgate and Airport Way South.  As she was crossing the street, the suspect vehicle was travelling southbound on Airport Way South and struck her, then fled the scene.

The Seattle Fire Department responded and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center for her injuries.  TCIS detectives also responded to the scene and began their investigation.

Detectives have developed information that the suspect vehicle in Saturday morning’s hit and run may be a white or light colored Honda or Toyota type 2 door coupe.  It should have some obvious front end damage.  The 24 year old female victim is still recovering in Harborview.  Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to contact Det.
