Man Stabbed In International District Tells Police He’s “Not Worthy to Live”

An “extremely intoxicated” man in his 40s with a nasty gut wound walked past officers hanging out at 7th and King last Friday night, according to a police report.

The man walked by officers at 7th King around 11:30pm on January 7th, but didn’t want to talk to police about his injuries.

The man tried to walk away, but cops talked him in to sticking around for an interview.

The victim told officers he’d been in an argument with an Asian male, but said he “forgot what they were arguing about and couldn’t remember what the suspect said to him.”

At some point during the argument, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.

The victim then told police “that he’s not worthy to live and he deserves to die so let him die.”

Nevertheless, medics arrived on scene and treated the man for a one-inch stab wound—just to the right of his belly button—before taking him to Harborview
