The Morning Blotter: Another Pepper Spray Attack In The University District

Seattle police are investigating another pepper spray attack in the University District.

According to a police, a woman was standing outside her apartment building on NE 47th and 12th NE around 2:30am on January 16th, when she heard a ‘spraying’ noise behind her.'”

The victim turned around and caught a face full of pepper spray.

The victim told police her assailant was a woman, who never said a word during the attack.

After spraying the victim, the suspect ran off and got into the passenger seat of a black four-door sedan.

The victim told officers she “believed the suspect had done this before by her relaxed demeanor.”

Last month, SPD robbery detectives began investigating a series of pepper spray robberies in the Central and University District.

Police believe a group of men and women attacked and robbed several victims, taking iPhones and handbags.

The report for this latest incident doesn’t indicate whether anything was taken from the victim.
