Three robbers armed with a shotgun and handgun held up a man in Sunset Hill park over the weekend, according to a police report.
Just after midnight on February 13th, a man was “enjoying the view” at the park—on 75th and 34th NW—when he noticed three other men in the park, the report says.
The three suspects—who were all wearing hoodies and dark-colored bandannas over their faces—approached the victim and demanded his wallet.
One of the suspects was holding a shotgun, and another suspect brandished a handgun.
After the victim handed the men his wallet, the suspects patted him down and took his Zune MP3 player, and cellphone.
The suspects fled, and the man went home and cancelled his credit cards. He didn’t contact police until 9:00am the next morning.
The victim later told police he didn’t get a good look at the suspects, but believed they were all around 20 years old. The man also told officers the suspects sounded “Almost more scared than I was” during the robbery.
