The Morning Blotter: Man Says He Was Beaten, Robbed By Panhandlers In Belltown

A man told police he was beaten and robbed in Belltown earlier this week by two men after they asked him for spare change.

Around 3:15 am on March 13th, the victim was walking south near Western and Wall St when two suspects walked up to him and asked him for change.

The man told the suspects he didn’t have any money, and kept on walking.

The suspects then began kicking the man, and knocked him to the ground.

The two suspects then grabbed the man’s wallet out of his back pocket, and fled.

Medics showed up to the scene and treated the victim, who told police the suspects had made of with the $60 in his wallet, and his debit card.

Police searched the area, but couldn’t locate the suspects.
