A woman was slashed and brutally beaten on a street near Woodland Park over the weekend, according to police.
The woman told officers she was walking south on Densmore Ave N and N 49th St at about 8:30pm on March 19th when a group of four men and women came out of some bushes and approached her from behind.
One of the male suspects grabbed the victim and spun her around, a police report says, and punched her in the eye.
A second man walked up to the victim carrying a knife. The woman then “closed her eyes as she felt the blade make contact with her forehead and her left cheek,” the report says.
The woman fell to the ground and balled up in the fetal position, the report says.
She then heard the suspect with the knife say “These Ginsu knives don’t cut as deep as I thought they would.”
Two female suspects then approached the woman and told her “You’re fucking with the wrong guy.”
One of the women then hit the victim in the chest and legs with a stick or bat, while the other female suspect stopped on the victim’s legs.
The suspects then walked off.
When police arrived, they found the woman with cuts to her cheek and forehead, and medics transported her to a hospital.
The woman later told police she believes someone she knows may have paid the suspects to attack her.
