The Morning Blotter: Woman Pepper Sprayed At Northgate Transit Center In Attempted Robbery

Seattle police are looking for a group of girls pepper sprayed a woman and tried to rob her at the Northgate Transit Center last weekend.

Around 3:15 p.m., the victim was sitting at a bus stop, talking on her iPhone, in Bay One of the transit center, just south of Northgate Mall.

One member of a group of four girls—all between 17 and 20—who were standing at the same bus stop, turned around and pepper sprayed the woman in the face.

The suspect tried to grab the woman’s phone, but the victim was able to slide it into her pocket and push the suspect back.

The suspects then fled. A witness told police “the suspects were laughing as they ran off.”

Police searched the area but weren’t able to find the suspects.
