The Weekend Blotter Part 2: Burglars Busted, Shots Fired In CD


Burglars Busted At Aurora Storage Facility:

On April 23rd at approximately 6:57 a.m. officers were dispatched to NW 130th Street and 8th Avenue NW to check on a suspicious vehicle.  The 911 caller provided a good description and license plate number of the suspicious vehicle.

Officers arrived and did not locate the vehicle in the area.  Officers did locate the reported suspicious vehicle at a public storage unit facility in the 11500 block of Aurora Avenue North. 

Officers saw three suspects enter the storage facility.  Officers subsequently located the three suspects inside the  storage facility who were found to be in possession of various burglary tools as well as locks that had been cut off individual storage lockers.

The three suspects were arrested and booked into the King County Jail and the suspect vehicle was impounded and taken to the evidence garage for processing. 

This remains an active and on-going Burglary investigation.

Gang Unit Investigating Shooting At Central District Apartment

On April 24th at approximately 12:37 a.m. officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of East James Street for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival officers located three bullet entry points into the 2nd floor apartment in question: two rounds went through a west window and one went through a west wall. 

Inside the apartment at the time were an 18-year-old male and his mother, both residents.  Neither one was struck by the bullets nor sustained any injuries.

The Gang Unit was notified of the incident and will handle the on-going investigation.
