The Morning Blotter: In Which Kids Get Mugged

Just in time to bum you out for the weekend, lemme tell you about how two kids got mugged last week.

The first incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on April 25th. A boy was walking home from the Douglas Truth Library in the Central District when two when two men approached him near 23rd and Yesler, and told him to hand over a Nintendo DS Lite.

When the victim told the suspects to leave him alone, one of the suspects punched him in the back of the head, knocking the victim to the ground.

The suspects stole $8 and the victim’s Nintendo DS, and fled.

Police met with the boy and his mother, and the kid told officers he’d be able to identify the suspects if he saw them again.

Officers searched area, but didn’t find anybody.

The next day, another kid was waiting for a bus to school at Rainier and Henderson when he saw two men walking towards him.

One of the men said “let’s get him,” and both suspects started rummaging through the victim’s pockets.

The victim struggled with the suspects, and one of the men hit him in the face.

The suspects then fled, without taking anything.

The victim went to school and told his dad about the incident when he got home.
