The Morning Blotter: Vandals Slash Tires On Dozens Of Cars In South Seattle

Residents at a South Seattle apartment complex awoke last Saturday morning to find vandals trashed dozens of cars and trucks parked in their building lot.

According to police, sometime between 12:30 am and 6:00 am, a vandal (or vandals) one or more tires on at least 24 vehicles parked in a parking lot and on the street on Rainier Ave S and S Fontanelle.

The vandals also broke out the windows of several vehicles.

A report for the incident says no one saw the vandals, but one resident told police she saw seven juveniles in the area around 2:00 am.

Police asked the building manager to turn over any surveillance tapes that might have captured the incident.
