Alleged Cop Impersonator Charged With Robbery

Not a cop

King County Prosecutors have filed robbery charges against a man who allegedly posed as an undercover cop during two carjacking attempts near Seattle University earlier this month.

Michael James Beach is facing one count of robbery after, police records say, Beach convinced a man he was an undercover cop performing a drug sting, flashed a gun, and stole the man’s Mercedes on May 16th.

Beach also pulled the same scam with a woman earlier in the day, but gave up after the woman started crying. Beach then flirted with the woman, hugged her, and gave her his cellphone number.

Beach was arrested outside of Portland, OR earlier this week by US Marshalls, and is headed back to Seattle to face charges.
