On June 22nd Seattle Police Vice and High Risk Victims Unit detectives working with the Innocence Lost Task Force recovered a 17-year-old female sex trafficking victim who was thought to be in Seattle. A Seattle Police detective made an undercover call to the victim and arranged to meet her for the purposes of prostitution. Seattle Police detectives, along with personnel from the FBI, subsequently recovered the victim and identified both a suspect and an accomplice.
The victim was interviewed and released pending further investigation. This remains an active and on-going investigation.
