Man Arrested In Greenwood Rape/Abduction Suspected In Several Other North Seattle Attacks

Police sources tell Seattlecrime.com that the man arrested for abducting and raping a woman in Greenwood earlier this month is also a suspect in at least two additional attacks on women in North Seattle, and robberies at three different businesses.

According to one source, the suspect robbed three Hispanic businesses near Greenwood in February, and attacked several women near Crown Hill–where the man was arrested–in the last few weeks. One of the attacks came days after the kidnapping, the source said.

Several robbery victims apparently postively identified the man in a lineup at police headquarters this morning. He is expected to be re-booked into the King County Jail for robbery.

The man has not yet been charged.

We’re working to find out more about the attacks, and will post details when we have them.

More as this develops.
