City Attorney Charges Eight With Obstruction In Occupy Westlake Protests

Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes office has filed obstruction charges against eight people allegedly involved in the local Occupy Wall Street protests this week, according to Holmes’ spokeswoman, Kimberly Mills.

Police arrested 25 protesters at Westlake Park Wednesday afternoon after parks officials told the group to remove tents they had set up in the park earlier in the week.

Mills says her office filed obstruction charges against eight people in court this afternoon, but did not immediately have more information on the hearing.
