The Less Painful Half of the Season

So my four-win Seahawks season prophecy is pretty much in the toilet. After an unconvincing win against the Rams on Sunday (that first half was punishingly boring, and Tarvaris kept throwing picks), the Hawks are already at 4-6. But while there’s no way the Hawks’ll lose the next six games, I don’t think they’re gonna beat last year’s somehow playoff-worthy 9-7  7-9 record, either.

Next Sunday’s game against Rex Grossman and the 3-7 Redskins is winnable (Grossman is one of 6 NFL qbs with more picks than Tarvaris). The Rams and Cardinals should be gimmes, and the Bears may totally fall apart now that Jay Cutler’s out for at least the better part of the rest of the season.  As much as I’d love to see the Hawks smear a little shit on Jim Harbaugh, I don’t think the 49ers rematch, or the Eagles games are going to go well.[pullquote]I think the Hawks, at best, go 8-8. Worse than last season, but still prophecy-denyingly respectable.[/pullquote]

Still, as long as Marshawn Lynch can keep running over fools and the Hawks’ defense can keep games within reach—more Red Bryant picks please!—I think the Hawks, at best, go 8-8. Worse  Better than last season, but and still prophecy-denyingly respectable.

I said early on that I refused to do any research. Don’t act so surprised.
