Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a possible witness in their investigation into the beating of South Seattle salon owner Danny Vega.
A surveillance photo released by police today shows a person picking up a discarded jacket from a dumpster near where Vega was beaten on 42nd Ave. S. and S. Othello on November 15. A video previously released by SPD shows one of three possible suspects in the case leaving an item—apparently the coast—behind the same dumpster.
If you recognize the person in the picture, you can contact SPD’s homicide unit at (206) 233-5000.
As we reported this morning, investigators are now trying to determine whether Vega died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack, or as the result of a preexisting medical condition.
