Possible Homicide In North Seattle; Man Uses Stun Gun In U-District Attack

Today in Fuzz: Another possible homicide in North Seattle; Robbery/shooting suspect arrested; man uses stun gun in University District attack.

1) Police are investigating another possible homicide in North Seattle after a 70-year-old man was found dead in his apartment, apparently beaten. officers were called to the man’s apartment at a retirement home on 135th and Linden Ave. last night around 10:00 pm after the man’s neighbor went to check on the man, and found his body. Police say the man sustained “blunt trauma” to his body. We’re working to find out more.

Homicide were already up at 135th and Linden over the weekend after a man attacked his roommates, killing one of them.

2) Police say a man used a stun gun on one person and punched another in an early morning attack in the University District this morning.

The attack happened just after 2 am on 18th Ave NE and NE 50th St., according to SPD. Police tried to track the man with a K9 unit, which led officers into Ravenna Park, but they weren’t able to find the suspect.

The victims told police they were “somewhat familiar” with the suspect, but didn’t know why he’d attacked them.

3) A 29-year-old man previously charged with killing one of his passengers in a high-speed crash while fleeing from police in Edmonds was arrested by an SPD SWAT team last night for allegedly shooting a man during a robbery on Capitol Hill in October.

According to the department, when officers went to the man’s home at 14th Ave S and S Court St. around 10:30 last night, he barricaded himself in the basement.

Police eventually convinced the man to come out, and booked him into jail on robbery and assault charges, and for a Department of Corrections warrant.
